16 Tips & Ideas for Matching Your Jewelry To Your Wedding Dress https://chicmags.com/16-tips-ideas-for-matching-your-jewelry-to-your-wedding-dress/ https://chicmags.com/16-tips-ideas-for-matching-your-jewelry-to-your-wedding-dress/#respond Mon, 09 Aug 2021 05:38:10 +0000 https://chicmags.com/?p=8790 Wedding accessories are like icing on cakes or cherries on top of ice creams. Without them, your dress will look incomplete no matter how gorgeous it is. Still, you don’t want to over-decorate your ensemble. It’s important to select the right pieces to achieve a balanced and beautiful look. To help you with that, we’ve rounded up the best tips and ideas for matching jewelry with your wedding dress.

Check these out.

Rules for Accessorizing Your Wedding Dress

1. Match Your Metals

If you want to achieve an elegant look, choose one metal color for your jewelry. Whether you prefer gold, silver, or platinum, sticking with a single precious metal helps create a much more harmonious look.

2. Less Is More

You don’t need a lot of accessories to create a statement. A few pieces are enough as long as you select the right items. To avoid looking overdone, pick one focal piece and keep the rest of your accessories subtle.

3. Match It With Your Engagement Ring

Diamond rings add a touch of glam to even the simplest wedding ensemble. If you’re wearing your engagement ring at your wedding, you can make it the centerpiece of your outfit and keep everything else simple. Match the metals of your diamond ring band to your other jewelry pieces.

4. Consider Your Dress Color

The color of your dress can also help you decide what accessories will look great on you. Don’t forget that white comes in different shades. Make sure to choose the colors that best complement the shade of your wedding dress.

For example, gold metals are foolproof options for warmer white dresses. These include yellow gold, rose gold, and ivory. Meanwhile, for “true white” dresses”, platinum pieces work best.

5. Consider Your Hairstyle

Consider your hairstyle when choosing accessories too. Decide between small studs and dangling earrings based on whether you’re leaving your hair down or pulling it away from your hair.

6. Consider Your Décolletage

Like your hairstyle, your neckline is also a major factor to consider when selecting bridal jewelry.

Strapless Necklines

Necklaces look stunningly perfect with strapless gowns. We recommend wearing a choker or shorter-length piece.

Sweetheart Necklines

This neckline works wonderfully with a medium-length pendant or drop necklace. Since a sweetheart dress already has a flattering cut, simple necklaces, earrings, and bracelets work best with it.

Halter Necklines or High Necklines

Wedding dresses with a high neckline don’t have much room for a necklace. You can reserve the sparkle for a pair of elaborate statement earrings and bracelets.

V-Necklines

A drop necklace enhances the dramatic shape of this neckline. You can also choose to skip the necklace entirely and opt for statement earrings since it’s a very flattering neckline that looks amazing on its own.

7. Stick to What You Know

This is perhaps the most important rule of all ? choose the pieces that you feel most comfortable with. If you prefer gold jewelry, go for it. If you’re not into statement pieces, skip them. If you don’t wear heels, then don’t. When you’re comfortable with your accessories, carrying them in style is easier.

8. Wedding Jewelry Tips

Don’t worry about perfectly matching your rings

There is nothing out there that says your wedding band has to match your custom engagement ring. It’s completely alright if your rings don’t have the same shape or setting, or aren’t flush against each other.

9. Prioritize personal style

Choose the pieces that best reflect your personality and style, and make you feel confidently beautiful. Don’t let anyone dictate your choice of accessories.

10. Keep it simple

Even if you’re dreaming of a fairytale wedding, keeping your ensemble simple is the best way to go. Even royal brides like Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle went for simple yet graceful styles.

Wedding Jewelry Ideas & Inspiration

Jewelry To Match Wedding Dress 1

11. Trending Wedding Jewelry

  • 2020-21 are years we will never forget. This also translates to our jewelry choice. Whether you prefer a custom engagement ring or a traditional one, you want to invest in pieces that you’ll enjoy again and again over the years.
  • Drop earrings are also the trend now, particularly those that feature diamonds, pearls, and other beads.
  • More and more brides are also looking for sustainable options or jewelry items made from ethically sourced materials.

12. Stylish Wedding Shoes

When it comes to picking out the perfect wedding shoes, let your wedding venue, dress, and personal style help you decide. If throwing a seaside or garden wedding, choose shoes that are sand or grass-friendly like block heel sandals, flats, or closed-toe pumps.

Choose the shoes you can walk confidently in. Lastly, consider styles that offer added comfort, such as padded foot cushions and ankle straps.

13. Classic Wedding Jewelry

Diamonds are the go-to gems of a classic bride. The trick is to choose pieces that sparkle but don’t take the attention away from your engagement ring and your dress.

For a timeless and elegant look, you can also go for pearls and earrings, and blue gemmed pieces.

14. Romantic Wedding Jewelry

Vintage, rustic and chic pieces make up romantic wedding accessories. Pick unique styles that feature curvy, vine-like patterns and florals to add depth, sweetness, and romantic flair to your wedding look.

15. Glam Wedding Jewelry

Since a glam wedding is all about luxury, feel free to wear elaborate pieces, such as sparkly diamond necklaces and statement chandelier earrings.

16. Boho Wedding Jewelry

A bohemian bride steals the show for her ethereal, soft, and romantic vibe. The best picks for boho wedding jewelry include floral headpieces, shoulder chains, and leaf vine earrings.

Boho jewelry can be anything that uses natural materials such as leather, shells, strings, and base metals.

Conclusion: Be Yourself

While there is no precise rule when it comes to choosing wedding jewelry, these guidelines should help you achieve a balanced and beautiful look.

Don’t forget that the most important tip is to choose the pieces that reflect who you are as a bride and as a person. When you’re able to pull off a look that highlights your style, you’d feel more comfortable and confident walking down the aisle.

How To Begin Searching For Your Wedding Dress https://chicmags.com/how-to-begin-searching-for-your-wedding-dress/ https://chicmags.com/how-to-begin-searching-for-your-wedding-dress/#respond Wed, 28 Jul 2021 05:04:25 +0000 https://chicmags.com/?p=8771 Getting married is one of the most wonderful things that could happen in your life. It’s where you officially tie the knot and be with your partner indefinitely. With that, you may want to ensure your special day will go as perfectly as possible.

Searching For Your Wedding Dress 1

As you choose your wedding dress, you’d want to look like how you’ve always pictured yourself while you’re still a little girl. The goal is to look for the prettiest wedding dresses you’ll surely fall in love with the moment you fit yourself right in them.

Moreover, listed below are the tips on how you can begin your wedding dress search and make your dreams come true:

1. Plan Ahead

For your wedding dress search, it’d be ideal if you could put this on your priority list as alteration and customization could take a while due to the craftsmanship. When you’re planning to have a custom wedding dress, you should consider looking for a gown at least a year before your wedding day to allow time for adjustments.

Moreover, if you’re planning to have a store-bought dress, most shops would recommend you go shopping at least six months before your wedding. In this way, you can allow enough time for alterations you’ll be having, along with any adjustments in case of drastic size changes.

2. Set Your Budget

Wedding gowns are expensive, and they don’t cost the same as your regular dresses. Moreover, it can also take up a chunk of your budget. With this, you should give yourself a limit as to how much you’re willing to spend for a dress you’ll wear as you walk down the aisle.

As you set your budget, you can filter your design choices, see your options, and know how much your budget takes you. In this way, you can set your expectations about fabric and style choices as some may come in costly price tags.

3. Browse For Designs

Before you go to a wedding dress shop, it’d be ideal if you have a design in mind. In this way, you can save time by not going through all of the catalogs only to find out it’s not a look that makes you happy.

Ideally, you should begin browsing for inspirations online or in a wedding magazine and try to visualize yourself about which design you think would best complement your body shape. You can even look for guides online that provide you outline about which type of dress would go well for you. You can choose between ballgown, mermaid, or A-line. You can even pick which type of embellishments you’d like. It could be adding a silk belt, lace, plenty of beads, or pocket dresses.

As you browse for designs, you can already have your favorites and try to look for a similar dress in wedding gown shops and have your ‘this is it’ moment.

4. Consider The Theme

Apart from choosing which wedding dress best complements your body, you should also consider your wedding theme. To allow your wedding to have the full motif experience, it’d be ideal if you could match the dress with it.

For a beach wedding, you should consider having a flowy dress that’ll flawlessly move as you walk on the sand. For a royalty theme, a ball gown or mermaid dress while using luxury fabric would be excellent. In this way, you can allow the decorations and dress to go along with each other.

5. Bring Close People With You

Wedding dress shopping is more fun when you bring people who are close to you. In this way, you can ask for their opinions and have someone enjoy the day with them. However, you need to be careful about who to bring as some may provide unfiltered views that may cause your feelings to be hurt.

Ideally, you should bring people who are truly close to you such as your family and your best friend. Moreover, you shouldn’t tag along with people who always have conflicting opinions as it could bring tension to your wedding shopping day, which may take away your bridal mood.

6. Shop At Multiple Stores

Never limit yourself to shopping in a single store as there are plenty of designs around you. Ideally, you should visit as many wedding dress shops as possible so you could see which style makes the perfect fit.

As you shop at multiple stores, you can widen your options and wait for the magical moment wherein you can completely imagine yourself walking the aisle and meet your partner in front of the altar. While it may take a while, enjoy the moment as you get to try out as much dress as you like.

Conclusion

Wedding dress shopping is one of the most stressful and enjoyable planning you get to have. With that, you may want to cherish every moment and enjoy fitting gowns as much as you want since you don’t get to experience it again. Most importantly, ensure you choose a wedding dress that truly makes you happy.

Accessorizing the Wedding Dress: 6 Tips to Choose the Jewelry https://chicmags.com/accessorizing-the-wedding-dress-6-tips-to-choose-the-jewelry/ https://chicmags.com/accessorizing-the-wedding-dress-6-tips-to-choose-the-jewelry/#respond Thu, 11 Mar 2021 06:01:19 +0000 https://chicmags.com/?p=8315 No matter how beautiful your wedding dress is, your look is incomplete without accessories. Choosing the right pieces to accentuate your dress can be tricky with so many great jewelry choices out there. Well, with a few rules to keep in mind, you should be able to choose the perfect finishing touches for your dress.

Match the Jewelry to the Wedding Dress Style

When it comes to jewelry, every bride has a myriad of options which makes accessorizing a bit more complicated. When things get overwhelming (and confusing), let the style of your wedding dress be your guide.

As a general rule, your jewelry should complement your dress, not distract your look. Certain fabrics create a certain style, along with the dress shape and embellishments.

Fabrics like silk, chiffon, or organza all suggest a classic style of wedding dress. They are gorgeous enough on their own to make you look fab, so you can skip elaborate jewelry pieces like rhinestones. Instead, lean towards simpler pieces like pearls and diamond pendants.

Wearing a lace dress? Laces create a romantic, vintage-inspired look. They are best paired with pearls and diamonds, as well as floral-shaped gemstones.

Ornate dresses like ball gowns or dresses with crystal embellishments already have lots of sparkle and glamour on them. Therefore, you don’t need jewelry with so much bling. Give your dress the attention it deserves by wearing toned-down pieces, such as drop earrings or an understated necklace.

Meanwhile, a simple dress calls for a more exquisite, attention-grabbing piece. You can add extra sparkle to your dress by wearing bigger pieces like chandelier earrings or a chunky diamond pendant.

Mind Your Dress’s Neckline

Mind Your Dresss Neckline

Symmetry is an essential factor to consider when choosing jewelry for your wedding dress. Your dress’s neckline plays a major role in framing your face. Here are the most common necklines and how to accentuate them.

Strapless

You can add a dramatic element to your dress by wearing statement earrings. Feel free to play with textures and colors if your neckline is clean.

V-neck

This works great with a choker or pendant. You can try layering both if you have delicate pieces. Pair your necklace with small stud earrings or simple dangling earrings.

Halter/Reverse Halter

Instead of highlighting your neck, focus on accessorizing your hair. Play with pins, combs, stones, or vines. You can also wear a bracelet or a cocktail ring.

Balance Out Your Dress’s Neckline and Earrings

Heart-shaped or strapless necklines work wonderfully with long diamond earrings. High necklines paired with stud earrings will draw attention to the face. For dresses with modern and chic necklines, pearls and crystal studs are the best options.

A sweetheart neckline is so versatile, you can pair it with almost any type of earring. However, if you are wearing an elaborate headdress, such as a crown, you want to stick to stud earrings. Skip the necklace too.

The Rings

The Rings

Now let’s come to the most important pieces – the rings!

Your engagement ring and wedding ring also play a big role in the types of jewelry you wear. Thankfully, these days it’s easier to find engagement ring designs that pair perfectly with different styles of wedding dress.

In most cases, you’ll take into account the style of your engagement ring when choosing other accessories. If you’re wearing a classic round diamond ring, you’re lucky. It’s the most versatile ring you could ever wear, which means it perfectly blends with any metals and precious stones.

You want to wear no other ring than your engagement ring (which should be put on your right ring finger). During the exchange of vows, your groom will put on the wedding band on your left ring finger. After the ceremony, you can slip your engagement ring on top of your wedding ring.

Don’t Forget About Sleeves Before Choosing a Bracelet

A separate sparkler for your wrist is always a great idea as it doesn’t usually compete with your dress, unlike necklaces and earrings. You can choose a bracelet that has a different style and metal than the rest of your accessories.

Dont Forget About Sleeves Before Choosing a Bracelet

You can even pair a couple of bangles. If you’re wearing a pearl necklace and earrings, you can match them with an equally stunning pearl bracelet too. However, if you’re wearing a bracelet, consider the sleeves of your dress. If you’re wearing a wedding dress with long sleeves, you may want to omit the bracelet.

Avoid Mixing Colors and Metals

Again, you’re aiming for a balanced look. You want to avoid mixing colors and metals that will draw away the focus from your beautiful dress.

Certain metals pair nicely with different shades of white and ivory. Generally, yellow gold complements ivory while platinum suits bright white. Meanwhile, rose gold looks dazzling with blush wedding dresses.

Platinum and silver work best with pure white dresses, creating an elegant allure to your look. Pearls also work like magic when used to accentuate a white gown.

Avoid Mixing Colors and Metals

If you’re wearing a champagne dress, opt for gold jewelry as it beautifully complements the warm tone. Same with an ivory dress. Gold metals blend nicely with its creamy shade.

These are just a few of the combinations you can try that are guaranteed to look great on you. However, you can always go bold. Just try to achieve harmony in any pairing you choose.

Final Words

Accessorizing the wedding dress is something that many brides find challenging. With so many great blings out there, which one perfectly pairs with your dress?

Fortunately, there are just a few things you have to remember to ensure that you’re choosing the best accessories to match your look.

Always consider your dress throughout the process. Your goal is to accentuate your look with a few sparkling pieces, not outshine your dress. Your dress still needs to be the main focus here.

Your dress’s neckline has a big role too. So as the color of your dress. It’s okay to experiment with your jewelry choices as long as you strive for a balanced look.

Things to Consider Before Buying Bridesmaid Dresses

1. Things to Consider Before Buying Bridesmaid Dresses

Think About Color

What color dress should you choose when shopping for a bridesmaid dress? Should you go for the classic or try something a little more dangerous and sophisticated. Consider the color that suits your wedding colors and overall beauty, tailor the season and compliment your friend’s skin tones.

And don’t be afraid to choose a print like floral or color black. You can also choose a simple color scheme and your bridesmaids will find the dress they like in those parameters.

Consider Venue, Season, formality, and Time of Day

Your wedding date and time will help steer your bridesmaid’s dress choice in the right direction. You are not allowed to wear your wedding party in metal sequence for an afternoon wedding, but glam works well for a formal evening affair. The same thing happens with your platform.

Be Aware of Your Body Type

Although everything looks great on online websites, you need to know which wedding gowns are really meant for you online. Although every woman knows what clothes she looks beautiful in and what she should avoid, this is a more serious matter in your hands, which you should be a little more careful within your research.

Each body type has a cut and style, but to know your cut and style you need to identify your body parts objectively and identify the ones that need to be covered. By recognizing this, you will know what you want, and ordering Indian wedding gowns online is no longer a problem. So start looking at the types of gowns that work best for you.

Do your Research

It’s obvious but I did not fully understand it before I started. I am so excited to start shopping for wedding dresses, I moved up to my first store without having a firm idea of ??what style of dress I wanted.

In fact, there are so many dresses in most stores and the women who work in them don’t know your exact style and taste. I looked up more wedding dresses online and found specific styles, themes for designers I wanted to see.

Even if you do not have a clear idea of ??what dress you want to try on, coming to the bridal shop armed with that shows your tastes and inspirations can help start helpers.

Clothing Does not Fit

This point is especially true for women like me who do not have sample sizes.

This means that for most fittings you will be pinned or kept too small and you have to imagine that it will fit you exactly.

Some stores are fantastic in this regard and will keep you in control cleverly and skillfully, while others, however, will expect you to hang your pants or fly in front of your friends, as happened to me on one occasion. Cool hands are holding the running clothes behind you together.

Pay Attention to what Size your Dress will be Ordered

If the pattern you tried in the store does not fit exactly, the store will order you in a different size dress, which, as I found, can completely change the look of the dress.

From talking to other brides, I have found that in bridal shops it is the standard practice to take your measurements and dress to suit the widest point. This makes sense in most cases, even if the bride does not want the dress to be too short, for a guy like me to be up to 2 sizes shorter than her top at the bottom, which is a very big issue.

Choose your Bridal Store Carefully

After finding your favorite bridal gown. Although there was a feeling from the beginning that this store was not the best in customer service, we persevered and then regretted it a lot, because their bad service eventually broke down how we felt about the wedding dress and our overall wedding experience.

I advise you to pay close attention to how long the store has been waiting for you, whether they will listen to your views or the style and lighting of the fitting rooms.

2. Planning Your wedding dress budget

Bridesmaid Colours To Complement Your Wedding Dress

Think about your total wedding budget

Before you start shopping, you need to determine your total wedding budget, and then decide on the number you will spend comfortably on the wedding dress. Generally, fashion (including both bridal attire and accessories) should consume that total. If your wedding dress is a very important item to you throughout the day, you may be willing to spend a little more on it and a little less on other areas.

Ways to Save on Wedding Dress Shopping

Your wedding dress should make you look like a superstar without reversing your revised and verified wedding budget. So, if you are thinking of how to reduce your wedding dress budget while being able to afford your dream wedding gown, scroll down! Here are some budget tips that will apply nicely to any price range from time to time.

Remember to Factor in the Cost of Alterations

Whether you are ordering a wedding dress directly from a designer or buying anything from Rock at a sample sale, keep in mind that changes are almost always necessary and are always associated with an additional fee. Some studios offer changes at home, while in others you will find your own tailors.

3. Bridesmaid Colours To Complement Your Wedding Dress

Choosing the Right Bridesmaid Dresses

Blue

The soft and calm light blue goes very well with white and gives serene vibrations when matched together. One of our brides chose a satin blue dress and it was one of the most beautiful bridesmaid dresses we have ever seen!

Pink

Of course, this color is going to be here. Most girls want a pink room at some point. I don’t even have to say how sweet the combination of white and pink is. It is the most feminine and charming color combination you can bring and it is perfect for brides who are young!

Mix Green and Blue

The resulting color Tiffany is the perfect mix of green and blue. This color was first popularized as a color well known to many girls due to the big brand Tiffany & Co. This color is loved by many and easy to see why. Green refreshing hint with a perfectly beautiful gem. It is definitely one of the most popular colors for all occasions!

Rainbow

There are so many beautiful colors and you cannot decide on one? Don’t worry, these brides have faced a similar problem and there is a perfect solution to it! Why choose one when you have everything??

Neutrals

For couples who go for a more classic and minimalist theme, these neutrals are never wrong! A complete white squad for those who appreciate a clean sleek look. You can even show how much you and your bridesmaid are synchronized!

4. How to Mix and Match Bridesmaid Dresses

Avoid dry Cleaners

Same Colour Bridesmaid Dresses Different Styles

If you want everyone’s outfit to look more the same, choose the same shade and stick with it. You can choose a simple color palette, similar print/embroidery, or a similar bridesmaid dress that will make it easier for everyone and make it look more blush or bashful. The color of the bridesmaid dress and the color of the bride dress in the picture above are the same but they all wore different design dresses.

Single Color Family, Similar Styles

Every bridesmaid wears the same dress but a different shade that you like the most and it looks so cute, and your ladies love the idea of having their own color! For your girls, you can always put in color, divide by a different shade for everyone.

Single Dress Style in Different Colors

If you find a dress that you absolutely treasure, do not be afraid if everyone wants the same outline. You can still embrace the versatility of “matching-ness” at your wedding party by choosing different colors. While the rainbows are beautiful, keep in mind that they are absolutely not necessary for the wedding party to look at, go for it unless you really want a rainbow vibe!

Different Dress Styles and Colors

If you are committed to using different bridesmaid dresses, you may want to go all out. Combine both different designs and colors in your bridal party ensemble for a truly stunning look. For this option, you can stay in the same family and play with different tones and colors or use the palate of your wedding inspiration while shopping and choosing.

5. Protecting Your Wedding Dress

Think About Color

Avoid dry Cleaners

You may think it is a good idea to dry clean your dress on the days before your wedding day, but this is actually something you want to avoid. There are risks in sending your clothes to dry cleaners. Instead, hang your dress outside its dress bag for a few days before the wedding so that the wrinkles come out naturally. To prevent wrinkles you must steam or press the clothing, read the care instructions thoroughly before proceeding.

Store in a Safe Environment

Keep your clothes clean and away from the reach of pets or kiddos. To avoid unwanted stains or problems, do not leave your clothing cluttered, damp or dirty anywhere. Whenever you take your clothes out of its clothes bag, wash your hands and consider drying them thoroughly and laying a sheet on the floor before your clothes are finished.

Get rid of Wrinkles

A few days before your wedding, carefully remove your wedding dress from its storage location. Using a silk padded hanger, hang the dress somewhere high so that all the wrinkles and creases come out. If the dress still has some dull wrinkles one or two days before the wedding day, you can hang the dress in the bathroom while the hot shower is running. Of course, you want to be extra careful that the clothes hang from the shower, so it doesn’t get wet.

After the wedding, Clean your Dress

Before you leave for your honeymoon, ask a bridesmaid or family member to leave your clothes at your local dry cleaners to clean your clothes professionally, before stains form. To best preserve your clothing, you may want to consider buying a preservation-grade, acid-free box or container. It is best to avoid long-term storage on the hanger, as this can lead to stretching of the fabric over time.

6. Tips for Choosing the Right Bridesmaid Dresses

Ways to Save on Wedding Dress Shopping

Have an idea of ??what you are looking for

Don’t go into stores that look like lost sheep. Make sure you do a little research so you know what kind of bridesmaid dress you are looking for. Either you can find something within a mile or the shop assistant can help you find something that fits your specifications.

Set a Reasonable Budget

Before you start thinking about bridesmaid dress styles or colors, the first thing you need to do is dress a budget. Money can be a sensitive issue for some of your famous women, so be careful how you approach them. Consider them talking to each other about their bridesmaid dress budget estimates.

If you have an understanding of what your bridesmaid can reasonably afford for everyone, you can set a budget that does not stress everyone out. Even if their budgets range from mid-range to high-end, browsing for affordable bridesmaid dresses will not be an inconvenience, it will make everyone look very minimal.

Choose Dress Fabrics Wisely

When it comes to shopping for a bridesmaid dress, there is more fabric choice than you might think. There are your bridesmaid’s comfort to consider, as well as your wedding venue and theme.

Make a Decision Based on your Vision

Determining the focus of your bridesmaid dress is such an important step in this process. When you decide on what you want to see for your girls. Do you see them in unmatched bridesmaid dresses; They all follow the same color scheme, the same outfits for each of the same color and different dresses.

Start looking at Styles

Each of your bridesmaids will have different body shapes, heights, and styles. Even if it’s still your wedding, these things are a very good thing to consider and will be greatly appreciated by your girls. Think about the styles and shapes you see in the clothes you usually wear and see if they fit all of them.

Alternatively, there is always the possibility of having a miss-match bridesmaid dress as we mentioned above. This is a really popular wedding trend that we have been seeing more and more in recent years.

And, your wedding function attire plays a big role in it. No matter whether it is your best friend or a close relative’s wedding, getting ready from head to toe is what makes you look elegant! Curating the best wedding guest dresses to attend the wedding can be a bit tricky.

There are too many wedding functions and there are infinite ethnic options to choose from. So, a little bit of confusion regarding what to wear is quite common. Nonetheless, put an end to your worries now as we have made your tasks easier.

In this article, you will get every clue related to choosing the best fit for a wedding. In the first parts, you will get a complete guide that’s required while choosing the ideal traditional Indian wedding guest dresses.

Whereas, in the second part, we will unleash graceful outfit patterns that you can curate for the function. You can look your best by styling these stunning outfits.

So, how to curate a perfect fit?

See what’s the wedding theme

It is the first thing that you must do before you start finding an elegant suit. You must see how a bride and bridesmaid are going to dress up for the events. The dress theme can be unique for every function right from Haldi, Mehendi, and Sangeet. So, get an idea regarding outfit themes and then start your outfit ideas research.

Also, if there are two or more functions, then you will need to decide the right outfit for each function.

Keep the Indian wedding etiquettes in mind

A country like India is diverse & unique. Every wedding has something idiosyncratic. Even if these weddings are distinctive yet great, some religions avoid wearing a particular color. In some religions, black is not considered to be worn at a wedding.

So, even if you do not consider such misbeliefs, still you must be aware of it. As it’s your beloved friend’s wedding, you do not wish to spoil the mood of the function at any cost. So, you better avoid curating such outfits.

On the other side, south Indian cultures consider white as an auspicious sign. So, you can choose to wear a beautiful white saree while attending such weddings. In short, you should try to match and mingle with the wedding atmosphere.

Choose what you feel comfortable

Keeping aside everything, what’s more important is your comfort. You must feel comfortable after you wear your best fit. It should feel comforting and must be good to carry the whole day long. So, make sure that you curate your outfit accordingly.

As we know that there are many pre-wedding functions like Haldi, Mehendi, Sangeet, etc. At the Mehendi function, you get henna on your hands. So, you need to sit for a long time. This is why you must curate the Indian wedding guest dresses that feel comfortable on your body.

Curate the outfit colors as per function theme

Every function demands a unique outfit. If it’s a Haldi function, then you can wear a yellow color dress. Such an outfit is perfect to match the functional vibes.

On the other hand, if it’s a Mehendi day, then wearing a bit dark shaded dress is a great thing. As you get Mehendi in your hands on this day, wearing dark shades will cover you up if the dress gets dirtier.

Dress up according to the time of the function

Some Indian weddings begin in the daytime whereas a few weddings get started in the evenings. Whatever is the time of the wedding, you must mix and match your wedding guest dresses accordingly.

If it’s a daytime function, then you can select lighter shades. Wearing a light yet graceful fusion wear can make wonders! And, if the wedding is in the evening time, then you can go for darker shades.

So, these were the tips that are ideal while you are curating a perfect pick.

Now it’s time to get some good outfit ideas. Let’s figure out what you can wear to get the spotlight on you.

Kurti sharara

Fusion wear

woman wearing fusion wearIt is always good to break stereotypes & do something unique at some point in time. So why not to try something off-beat yet inspiring on the wedding functions? Doing so, you will also stand out from the crowd and look your best. Wondering what could you wear to make a difference? You can try out Indo western fusion wear.

There are many patterns like drape pattern Kurti, cape style gown or saree, etc. Mix and match the styles that coordinate with your fashion quotient and personality.

Moreover, you must not forget about your body type. You need to choose a dress that suits your body. If you have a healthy and chubby figure, then an Anarkali fusion wear can suit your style. On the other hand, if you are slim and tall, then you can choose a peplum with a palazzo.

Lehenga

It is a traditional attire that is a must for at least one wedding function. You can wear a net embroidered lehenga on Sangeet day. Peach colors in lehenga can match the moods of the function.

All the Things You Need To Know About Wedding Veils https://chicmags.com/all-the-things-you-need-to-know-about-wedding-veils/ https://chicmags.com/all-the-things-you-need-to-know-about-wedding-veils/#respond Wed, 18 Nov 2020 09:27:34 +0000 https://chicmags.com/?p=7824 Bridal accessories are useful in completing a bride’s wedding day look. Pieces of jewelry, shoes, purses, and veils are considered the “must have” wedding accessories that you should incorporate into your look. For this article, we will be talking about the most important item that shouldn’t be missed if you follow the standard wedding traditions – the wedding veil.

Traditionally, brides need to wear wedding veils to cast away bad luck or evil spirits that may destroy happiness in the married life of the couple in the future. It also symbolizes modesty and obedience. Hence, a bride must wear a wedding veil in the course of her wedding day ceremony.

Wedding veils vary in styles and based on the length. You have to carefully consider the style of your wedding dress as well as your personal preference when choosing the wedding veil to be partnered with your wedding dress. Below are a few wedding veil styles you can choose from.

Short-length Veils

Short-length VeilsShort-length veils are perfect for brides who do not want their guests to focus on their accessories rather than the wedding dress itself. Short-length veils can also be more comfortable to wear since you do not have to worry about stepping on them as these kinds of veils fall right at the upper body only.

1. Birdcage Wedding Veil

Birdcage Wedding VeilThis kind of veil is usually made of net or lace. It covers your eyes and falls right at your jawline. This is very minimal yet very elegant. A lot of brides from the 70s and 80s era wore this kind of veil which makes it a good choice if you want to go vintage or retro.

2. Shoulder Length Wedding Veil

Shoulder Length Wedding VeilAnother vintage style veil is the shoulder-length veil. It falls perfectly at your shoulder. This one is the go-to veil for brides because it doesn’t grab the attention to the details of their wedding dresses.

3. Blusher Wedding Veil

Blusher Wedding VeilBlusher veil is a less traditional kind of veil but has a vintage feels to it. It falls over the face and ends at the top of your dress or top of your bust area.

4. Elbow Wedding Veil

Elbow Wedding VeilAn elbow veil covers your entire shoulders and ends right at your elbows. If you are more of a conservative type of bride, then the elbow veil is perfect to partner with your wedding dress. It might be traditional but it is still a classy wedding veil choice.

5. Fingertip Wedding Veil

Fingertip Wedding VeilOf course, based on the name of the veil, it falls right at your fingertips. It covers the entire body. However, since it is made of see-through lace, it does not compromise the design of your wedding dress especially if it has an intricate design at the back.

Long-length Veils

Long-length VeilsFor brides who want to make a statement as they walk down the aisle, long length veils are best suited for them. These kinds of veils fall right at the floor and some also extend. This is a very sophisticated choice for a wedding veil, however, it is not the best choice if you plan to move a lot during both your wedding ceremony and reception.

1. Floor Length Wedding Veil

Floor Length Wedding VeilFloor-length wedding veils fall right on the floor and are similar in length to the bride’s wedding dress. It is flowy in a style that could add an extra aesthetic and volume to the overall look of the bride.

2. Chapel Wedding Veil

Chapel Wedding VeilIf you want a longer veil that trains a few inches across the floor, then you can use the chapel wedding veil. Chapel wedding veils extend a bit longer than the bride’s wedding dress length. This kind of veil is usually 90 inches to 100 inches.

3. Cathedral Wedding Veil

Cathedral Wedding VeilThe Cathedral wedding veil is the most dramatic and majestic. It extends more than the usual train of the wedding gown and covers almost the entirety of the whole floor behind the bride. It is usually 108 inches to 120 inches in length. You will need extra yards of lace or sheer fabrics to be able to successfully create a cathedral wedding veil.

This might be disregarded by others but wedding veils are an important accessory to be added to the wedding day look of the bride. These veils vary in price depending on the style and length it has. Some are even priced similarly to the bride’s wedding dress. It can range from $200 to $350 depending on the style it has. If it has an intricate lace and beading design then the price is expected to be higher.

If you live in and around northeastern U.S. state you can find Wedding dress shops near New Jersey that include wedding veils as part of the package of their wedding dresses. You can explore and research around what suits your preference and your budget. Having a wedding veil that complements your wedding dress will surely elevate your wedding day look and will stun your guests and your dashing groom.

How To Perfect Boho Wedding Vibes? https://chicmags.com/how-to-perfect-boho-wedding-vibes/ Thu, 26 Mar 2020 13:46:21 +0000 http://www.chicmags.com/?p=6899 Their wedding is a significant and special event in every married woman’s life. Every bride and groom wants to have that perfect day that they’ve dreamed of. In turn, weddings call for a lot of planning and great attention to detail.

If you’ve already started planning, then perhaps you’ve chosen a theme for your wedding. If you’re still contemplating the look and feel of your wedding, consider a bohemian theme if you like things breezy, free-spirited and a bit whimsical.

Boho-themed weddings are immensely popular among modern brides because they can be both gorgeous and budget-friendly thanks to their laid-back style. If you want to give a boho touch to everything from your wedding dress to the venue decor, consider the following tips:

1. Build an Organized Pinterest Board

Start by building your Pinterest organizer board so that your vendors and other helpers know what style you’re looking for. You can start your research well ahead of time and keep adding to the Pinterest board whenever something catches your attention.

From the linens to the party favors to the floral centerpieces, every detail is a chance to bring personality to your wedding day. With a Pinterest board, you can convey the aesthetic you want for your wedding to anyone helping out with planning. Your Pinterest feed will also offer endless inspiration as you build your board.

2. Stick to a Natural Venue

How To Perfect Boho Wedding Vibes?

For a boho-theme wedding, an outdoor venue works best. Match it up with earthy shades of decors. Whether you choose an open ground or a garden full of greeneries, you can do the rest of the décor in sync with the natural venue.

While there are lots of earthy hues around in the ground, a starry night and a crescent moon add to the boho style. Translate the celestial vibes in your boho-themed wedding with hues of indigo and blue along with Milky Way patterns and crescent-shaped adornments. Nothing could be more romantic than this!

3. Find the Boho Dress of Your Dreams

boho wedding dress

It’s fine to choose an outdoor venue or add décor to a boho theme, but what sets the tone right is the wedding dress of the bride. If you want it to be in a boho way, the wedding dress should be lacy, flowy, off-white and bell-sleeved. Many wedding dress stores sell boho dresses in various styles and fits.

4. Ensure the Invitations Match the Scene

boho wedding invitations

If you’re going for a boho wedding, pay attention to every detail so that it syncs well with the overall boho theme. This includes the wedding invitations too. A boho wedding invitation may consist of wreaths, flowers, feathers and anything rustic. Keep the color tone neutral; white, peach and lavender all work great.

5. Incorporate Mother Nature

boho wedding bouquet

Embrace mother nature and incorporate anything natural. Flowers are magnificent adornments to include in a boho wedding. Bouquets are beautiful but very traditional.

How about having some hanging garlands or a bit of vine just above the dance floor?

Go for flowers that are tied to twines to add a romantic vibe to the aisle. Let the florals be loose and whimsical instead of arranging them in patterns. Do not restrict your imagination only to flowers.

How about hanging some succulents all over the venue with a wooden backdrop?

Or, you may want to add fringed backdrops decorated with garlands. Remember, boho means everything natural.

6. Set the Decor with a Vintage Feel

boho wedding Vintage venue

The vintage feel is what you should depict with a boho-themed décor for a wedding venue. Do up space with hanging lanterns and rustic decorative pieces in earthy hues. The best thing about the boho theme is you can go creative without any restrictions. Just remember to keep the color tone earthy and natural. For an outdoor venue, white curtains tied loose with a fringe of greeneries add the perfect touch to your boho theme. Remember not to include anything jazzy, shiny or neon when doing boho décor.

The best thing about a boho theme is they are perfectly imperfect. So, you can get as creative as you want, ensuring the overall color hues are warm and romantic. Go ahead and create a picnic-style dinner for the guests or a lounge with some quirky cushions thrown randomly for the guests to sit and relax. Your choices are endless.
